My sister's husband might have been even more embarrassed than she was when the employee's at Chili's sang Happy Birthday to her after announcing her age to everyone in the restaurant. We had a great lunch and great service, and I thought it made a perfect 365 picture for today. Chocolate-Milk on Flickr: Posted a Photo
only the sign left for this place (upon my first viewing) but a great one! taken in Kingman, AZ.

Yesterday's cowboy is back to today's city boy, complete with the kitty who has adopted him and his finger on the text button of his cell phone. I really enjoyed the month I spent with family and with getting to visit with my nephew (between texts of course) before getting back to the fast pace of my life in Kentucky. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
I had to include this picture as well, so I could share my friend Kim's beautiful horse and the gorgeous desert property where she lives. I took a whole lot more pictures, including some of Kim warming up the horse since he had not been ridden in awhile, but I will post those after I catch up on other 365 images. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
I absolutely love this picture of my nephew his first time on a horse. Considering he's a modern, city kid, I think he looks perfectly natural here. I also love the blue sky and perfect weather we had that day. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
I love the stuff I find with traveling street vendors. These shirts came from a vendor at the Route 66 Fun Run, and boy did I want to buy a bunch more than I got. So many had sparkles (my weakness), and so many would've made great gifts. I hoped they had a website since I knew I couldn't carry all I wanted home with me on the train. Never the less, I was very happy to find three nice sparklies for my sister, our Aunt Shirley, and myself. I thought it was a nice combination of color too. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
Our family tries to gather as many as are available whenever those of us who have moved away come to visit. We tend to make the Dambar are regular location because we get a nice space and great service, and because my cousin (who could not join us on this occasion) used to cook for them. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
This hot pink was only one of the many colors of the day for the annual "Fun Run" where creative owners of classic cars like to show off their special toys. I love the color of this one and the memories of the VW Bug are far more than just those of a punch buggie. As a matter of fact, I was quite a bit older when I learned they were not called "Ah Dogs,"
In the short version, I had a toy dog that opened it's mouth to catch a ball and then it would chase me. It was two tone green as was the first VW I saw, so I called it by the name of my toy. The family named their car then after my toy and thus I thought every VW I saw then was called an Ah Dog. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
The "Route 66 Museum" in Kingman, Arizona, has some great displays that show the progression of travel from the days of the covered wagon to the heyday of the paved road. As my nephew walked by this particular display, I decided that it would be a nice picture to display the contrasts of the 19th century to the 21st century. Boy have things changed in the last 150+ years! ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
The clouds brought in a bit of weather more familiar to me as it cooled down to feel more like a Kentucky spring day. By evening though, they were rolling away into the sunset. vintage roadtrip on Flickr: Posted a Photo

This is a scene from just part of a beautiful and peaceful day that began with a visit to Curves and was followed by a drive to the Hualapai Mountain Park for lunch and rest. While we waited for my nephew, Joshua, to climb some rocks and hike some trails, we sat in the sunshine and just enjoyed the clear sky and view. It's a treat to have such a nice mountain region so close to the high desert of Kingman. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
In a park where I used to hang out by my old high school, Candie and I decided to capture each other's pictures from opposite ends of the concrete tubes kids come to play in. I love this picture of my sister taken from my end of the tube toward her end. It was a toss up between this and many others I got with lots of laughing and giggles. I'll probably add some of the others later, though I can imagine these would really have been good if we'd both had our DSLR cameras with us. ♥ Crystal Writer ♥ on Flickr: Posted a Photo
Candie has two lovely rose bushes and this yellow one was blooming just beautifully today. We had a wonderful day with family, but I forgot my camera, so I chose to capture this flower near dusk. jrgumont on Flickr: Posted a Photo
